Where To Go Tubing in Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Tubing at the ski mountain was one thing visitors looked forward to when they came to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was sold-out weeks in advance and was an activity all ages could do together–even the non-skiers who came to Steamboat.
Tubing is alive and well in Steamboat Springs! Here are the two places to tube in Steamboat:
Saddle Back Ranch is a real working ranch.
The tubing hill is set in the middle of thousands of acres of open space near Milner. There are no cars, buildings (except the warming hut), or houses to obstruct the view. It’s just snow, blue sky, and the occasional horse-drawn carriage.
Saddle Back Ranch is located about 15 miles from town, and they’ll pick you up and drop you off at the Transportation Center. If you are looking for a day away from the hustle and bustle of Steamboat, Saddle Back Ranch is the place for you.
Tubing Steamboat is the new tubing hill at Howelson Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs. Intrawest generously donated all the tubes and equipment from the mountain to the Winter Sports Club, and now the Winter Sports Club runs the tubing hill and donates all the profit to the future Olympic skiers who train at Howelson Hill!
They just installed a new Magic Carpet lift to take tubers up the hill, and it’s close to town so you can fit it in before dinner without missing a moment on the slopes.
