West of Steamboat Springs Area Sold to Steamboat 700 LLC
It was announced today in the Steamboat Today http://www2.steamboatpilot.com/news/2007/mar/21/brown_property_deal_closes/
that Steamboat 700 LLC just bought 540 acres west of town, and they have another 160 acres under contract. The developers plan on building between 1,100-2,600 homes “for the entire range of housing…rental, attainable and market rate”, says Danny Mulcahy of DM Hollo Management.
I’ll be in Las Vegas in April, where the developers built and designed the communities of Summerlin and Green Valley. I am anxious to see what those planned developments are like and what we can expect in Steamboat if they use the same business model.
