Trailhead Lodge at Wildhorse Meadows–Did Anyone Close?
Trailhead Lodge at Wildhorse, October 2009
About five months ago, I wrote Trailhead Lodge at Wildhorse Meadows–Is Anyone Closing? during the dark days of the recession. The rumors were flying about the project and whether or not Trailhead Lodge would go down in flames.
Fast forward to today. We’ve had two consecutive quarters of sales increases in the Steamboat Springs real estate market (we saw 7 consecutive quarters of sales declines before that) signaling a turn around. I’m still not convinced we’re at the absolute bottom, but we’re certainly on the right track.
As for Trailhead Lodge, they’ve closed 20 units ranging in price from $450,000-$2,225,000. The average sold price is $886,842, or $865/sq. ft.
So…20 of the 61 signed contracts have closed so far. (There are 86 units in the project.) The gondola towers are up and it looks pretty cool to see a gondola over Mt Werner Circle as you’re driving to the ski area.
Of those that closed, only one unit is being offered as a re-sale. A 1br unit, #3111, is listed at $645,000.
