The Steamboat ski season is winding down while the construction season begins
We’ve had a beautiful spring in Steamboat–warm, blue sky days that are great for spring skiing….AND for contractors looking to getting a jump start on construction. Earth movers are working on the infrastructure for Wildhorse Meadows, and several projects like the Victorian, Alpenglow, and Howelson Place are rising from empty lots in town. In fact, the Steamboat building department anticipates reviewing plans that may total 3,000,000 square feet of new construction at the base of the mountain and 500,000 square feet of new construction downtown.
This summer is the start of huge changes for Steamboat. We have a new ski mountain owner, Intrawest, and new real estate projects beginning all over town. It’s an exciting time to live in Steamboat, whether you live here full time or part time.
Even the mountain will get a face-lift. There is talk of new lifts, re-graded trails, and other improvements. If you want more details, call or email me, and I’ll give you the details.
