The Olympian–A(nother) New Development in Steamboat Springs
The Olympian is a residential/commercial development being built across the bridge from the Rodeo grounds. It’s on the corner of Yampa and Fifth, across the street from the Yampa River and Howelson Hill.
It’s a convenient location if you like to bike or walk on the Core Trail, go out to dinner and shop on Lincoln, and hike or cross-country ski on the trails at Emerald Mountain.
The commercial space went quickly (I heard that, but haven’t confirmed it) but residential units aren’t moving as fast. Prices range from $600,000+ for a one bedroom to $1,975,000 for a two-plus bedroom unit. There are a lot of new units coming on the market when you include The Olympian, Howelson Place, Alpenglow, and The Victorian, and they are similar in price and location.
Demand has slowed in Steamboat after the hyper-buyers-market last year, so if you like the idea of living downtown, it could be a buying opportunity. Call Eliese Pivarnik at (970) 819-6372 for more information on Steamboat Springs’ downtown properties.
