Steamboat Springs/Hayden Airport to get Jet Upgrade
Starting in April, United Airlines will offer regional flights between Denver and Yampa Valley Regional Airport (the closest commercial airport to Steamboat Springs) on jets! The new planes will have 33% greater capacity and will operate year round. That’s great news for locals who like to fly in and out of Hayden during the shoulder seasons and summer, and will make it easier for visitors who want to travel to Steamboat during the non-winter months.
There will be three daily round-trip flights on United Express jets operated by SkyWest Airlines.
“This announcement represents a major milestone for Steamboat in our strategic goal to significantly improve, year-round, the quality of air service into the Yampa Valley,” Andy Wirth, Intrawest’s EVP of Sales and Marketing.
