Steamboat Real Estate Week in Review: Nov 3-Nov 9, 2008
Last week, seven Steamboat Springs properties sold and five went under contract. Sold properties included a few entry level mountain condos and a large ranch in Slater.
Steamboat properties that are now pending include 2 ski-in, ski-out properties (read here how ski-in, ski-out properties are a great investment) and a Marabou Ranch homesite.
There could be a lot more sales if buyers and sellers were on the same page. There are definitely buyers out there looking at properties and making offers.
Sellers either don’t want to believe Steamboat real estate values have dropped or they bought at the peak, put money into the property, and are now looking for a price to cover expenses. Those sellers are unwilling to accept less.
Buyers, on the other hand, are either looking for desperate sellers who need to sell or they are concerned that prices will drop so they’re cushioning their offers to allow for prices to come down. The market will correct as Buyers and Sellers meet each other in the middle. Here are the week’s details:
