The Neighborhood: The Fish Creek area is one of the more desirable places to live in Steamboat Springs for its location between the Steamboat ski mountain and downtown Steamboat Springs. The farther up Fish Creek Falls Rd you go, the better the views of Emerald Mtn, Howelson Hill, and Sleeping Giant. Spring Creek Trail connects the western border of the Fish Creek area with town. Hearty walkers and bikers find it’s an easy hike down but an uphill climb coming home.
At the end of Fish Creek Falls Road is a 283′ waterfall and numerous hiking trails in the Routt National Forest. Turn on Steamboat Blvd, and you’ll wind through The Sanctuary and the Rollingstone Golf Club. Another neighborhood in the Fish Creek area is accessed off of Anglers Drive. (Turn at McDonalds) Homes on Anglers Drive and Anglers Ct. are within walking distance to Rita Valentine Park.
Fish Creek flows through the Sanctuary and Anglers Retreat, offering some residents the sounds of the stream from their luxury homes.
