Edgemont, Or Bear Claw III
Edgemont is one of the new ski-in, ski-out developments being built on the mountain next to Headwall. The intention of The Atira Group (developer) is to build about 130 high-end residential units in 10 buildings. The planning commission has denied the plan so far, but here is the original idea:
- Building A will be seven stories high and have 45 units,
- Building B will have 70 units,
- and there will be 14 duplexes built last.
Access to the property will be through Bear Claw II’s parking lot and Gondola Lane.
Pricing will be $1100/sq. ft. or higher (compared with $800 for Trailhead Lodge and $1100 +/square foot for the projects planned at Ski Time Square).
The developers hope to have final approval this fall and begin reservations after January, 2008. The reservation process will be similar to Trailhead Lodge. You’ll put about $10,000 down to get a priority reservation–the earlier you write your check, the better your chances are to get the unit you want. Then, on Selection Day, everyone gets a time to pick their unit from the ones available, then finalize the paperwork. The first 10% of the investment price is due at the Selection Day, the next 10% the following year, and the balance is due when the project is completed.
All units will be whole ownership.
