Wildhorse Meadows
Trailhead Lodge, June 2008 photos
The new foundation for Wildhorse Meadows Trailhead Lodge in Steamboat Springs, CO (October 30, 2007):
When visitors ask about Steamboat Springs real estate, one of the first questions they ask is “What’s going on with the big hole by the Meadows Lot?” That 47-acre hole is Wildhorse Meadows. It is one of the first projects on the mountain to go through planning and get approval.
The master plan includes single family homes, townhomes, a hotel, a condotel, and even a post office. And don’t forget the ‘piece de resistance’–the new gondola that will carry owners over Mt. Werner Circle and deposit them at One Steamboat Place. (Avon, CO has a new gondola from the Westin property to Beaver Creek.)
In October, 2006, the first phase of single family home sites went on sale. All 41 sites sold out, with 75% selling on the first day.
Selection Day for Trailhead Lodge occurred in July, 2007, and 70% of the units were sold the first day. There are still units available in Trailhead Lodge. Please contact me for a Reservation Packet.
The Wildhorse sales office did an excellent job getting people to invest in their project. The Trailhead Lodge building is very attractive–it has four stories of varying heights, and the pool area has several pools (maybe four or five?) including a kids pool and adult-only pool. There are several fire pits and different socializing areas. Most places in Steamboat do not have 47 acres near the mountain over which to spread their outdoor area, so Trailhead Lodge is unique in that sense.
