Comparing Condotels, Fractionals, Second Homes and Timeshares
There are many types of ownership of Steamboat Springs real estate, including Steamboat condos, townhomes, “condotels”, and fractional ownership.
Steamboat Condotels –”Condo-hotels” have a front desk for check-in and nightly rentals. These include properties like Wildhorse Meadows’ Trailhead Lodge, the Steamboat Grand, and EagleRidge Lodge, although the category has been expanded to include just about any resort condominium. The economic changes have made these difficult to finance, but they are great to own.
Fractional Ownership –Places where you purchase a “fraction” of the property, usually 6-7 weeks of usage. Steamboat Fractionals usually have reciprocal rights with other resorts around the world. Examples are The Christie Club, The Porches, and One Steamboat Place
