Intrawest Has New CEO–a Vail Guy
Intrawest recently announced that Bill Jensen will be their new CEO. Intrawest (for those who have had their head in the snow for the past year) purchased Steamboat Springs and set off the recent Steamboat Springs real estate frenzy which is just slowing down. Other resorts owned by Intrawest are Whistler-Blackcomb, and Winter Park and Copper Mountain in Colorado.
He spent the last part of his career at Vail Resorts, the #2 company in the business after Intrawest. Vail Resorts recently went through a lot of changes in upper management and moved most of the staff down to Denver.
Next year, the Winter Olympics will be held in Whistler. Bill Jensen will get world-wide visibility as he settles into his new responsibilities.
