Adios, Dos Amigos, in Steamboat’s Ski Time Square
Dos Amigos, the popular Mexican restaurant in Ski Time Square in Steamboat Springs, is closing its doors after Labor Day. Ski Time Square has been a construction zone all summer, and owner Gary Baxter has seen the number of diners decrease because of it.
My office is also located at the end of Ski Time Square in Steamboat Springs. We go through the construction zone every day, and I’m encouraged to see the curbs and sidewalks almost completed. The new bus turn-around is really taking shape, and it won’t be long before we have a new road where there are now holes.
Ski Time Square is scheduled for demolition next summer. The construction will really go into action the summer of 2008. The Atira Group will construct a new mountain village with a hotel(s), condos, restaurants, and retail stores. About two years later, Steamboat’s Ski Time Square will be the place to be!
